L. D. Dickman
Executive Director/ General Manager

Mr. L. D. Dickman was the Deputy Director General (Infrastructure) of the Board of Investment before his retirement in December 2009, where he worked since its inception in 1979. He held various managerial posts during his long service in the Board of Investment, and was the Deputy General Manager of Lanka Mirigama Special Economic Zone (Private) Limited.

Mr. Dickman has been appointed as an Executive Director of the Company with effect from 5th April 2011. Mr. Dickman is the Immediate past president of the Institute of Town Planners Sri Lanka and was also a visiting lecturer for Town and Country Planning at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura and the University of Moratuwa. He holds a BA in Public Administration from the Vidyodaya University and a MSc in Town & Country Planning from the University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka. He has also attended a number of international Executive Development Programmes and Investment Promotion Programmes around the world.




A. Russell De Zilva
Joint Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Russell De Zilva has been with the Vallibel group of companies since 2002. He currently holds the position of Joint Chief Executive Officer and has previously served in various positions with the company. Since joining the company, he has been active in the development of several key pieces of front technology which have established the 'Vallibel' name as a leader in its field. These technologies include development of hydro power, hotels and, most recently, wind power projects. Mr. Russell De Zilva holds both B.Sc. (Hons) and Pg.Dip. degrees in Electrical Engineering.



A. K. Dheerasinghe
Joint Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Dheerasinghe holds a B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) from the University of Peradeniya, PGDBM from the University of Colombo and MBA from the Middlesex University, London. He counts over 11 years managerial experience with expertise in Hydropower, Hotel and Construction. He has also been involved in formulating and developing a number of mini hydropower projects, including the highlighted Way Ganga project (9MW) and Erathna project (9.9 MW), as head of the hydro power division of the Vallibel group.



M Navarathnarajah
Manager

Mr. Navarathnarajah is a veteran banker having 38 years of banking experience. He has been working in financial organizations since 1957 such as Mercantile Bank Limited and Hatton National Bank PLC holding managerial positions and retired as Senior Inspector of HNB.

Mr. M. Navarthnarajah joined Vallibel Lanka (Pvt) Limited in 1995 on Mr. K. D. Dhammika Perera's invitation. Purchase of properties, obtaining overdraft facilities from various banks, handling share trading matters and fund transfers were handled by him from the inception of Vallibel Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. He was also responsible for import of vehicles, custom clearance, sales and disposal of funds of the Anuradha Traders (Pvt) Limited during 1996 to 2008.

Presently, he administers and supervises the administration activities of Vallibel Power Erathna PLC and other hydro power companies in the Group.




Yogesh Suriyapperuma
Head of Finance

Mr. Yogesh Suriyapperuma received his Degree in Physical Science and MBA from the University of Colombo. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK (CIMA) and Affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK (ACCA). Mr. Suriyapperuma currently holds the position of Head of Finance and has previously served in various positions with the Company since 2005.



Pathmanatha Poddiwala
Engineering Manager (Mechanical)

Mr. Pathmanatha Poddiwala has obtained his first degree from University of Moratuwa in B.Sc. Eng (Mechanical) and also MBA in Technology Management attached to same university. For his 10 years experience in the field of Engineering, Sales & Project Management in leading private companies, he has gained vast experience in the field of HVAC system design and installation. Further he is serving as a part time lecturer for City & Guilds (UK) Mechanical engineering curriculum in consecutive sixth year. Presently he is an active member of few professional bodies such as Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association & Sri Lanka Building Services Engineers Association as an Associate Member.
